Ace carnatic musician Balamurali Krishna will appear on screen after a long hibernation of 20 years. Balamurali Krishna said that the venture has been titled Kadhai. The film, Kadhai will be directed by Abishek, who has acted in several television serials. The 79-year-old Balamurali Krishna will play himself in Kadhai.
The veteran singer will render the very famous song Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai in Kadhai. This musical will
be Paul J's (the musician) debut in the Tamil films. Malgudi Subha, Mukhtiyar Ali among others will also be able to bring out their talents in Kadhai, states a press note.

Venkat Prabhu's Goa that was slated to begin on March 11, 2009, hasn't gone on floors yet. Of all the reasons quoted, the complaint lodged against Jai at the Producers' Council is also said to be one. Jai received the wrath of producers recently after nonchalantly commenting on the performance of his forthcoming movies. However, as per industry sources, the matter is to be resolved soon amicably. Endhiran – Raju’s Salsa and Lawrence’s Robotic style!

Although Endhiran is only slated for a 2010 release, shoots are on in full swing with Shankar calling the shots in locations encompassing the exotic South American countries to our very own Chennai. He is spotted with his cast and crew in and around Chennai a few days ago too.
As is customary to Shankar's movies, Endhiran's song sequences are said to be the highlights of the film. Interestingly, the recently filmed duet song between
Rajini and Ash in Machu Pichu, Peru is choreographed by Raju Sundaram whose quirky moves add spice to Shankar's creativity. The movements in the song are salsa based, it is learnt. Besides, one of the song sequences required a robotic style dance for which Lawrence came in handy. The technical aspects of this song have been done in one of the studios in Hollywood. Besides, shoots were also held in the picturesque Hawaii islands.

Dhanush – Vetrimaaran's Aadukalam is recently kick-started and the shoots are on. With Vetri showing promising talent in his debut venture Polladhavan, all eyes are on him while he slogs for Aadukalam. Dhanush, however, seems to have decided on his yet-to-be titled project, a Hari-directed flick. This will be produced by Lakshmi Productions.
This project will commence only after Hari finishes his commitments with the Surya - Anushka starrer
Singam. The Hari – Dhanush venture is likely to have Shriya playing the lead. The pair has already proved successful in Thiruvilayadal Aarambam and is shooting for an upcoming flick Kutti.

Although no official announcements have been made so far about Thalaivan Irukkiran, Kamal's remake of the Hindi blockbuster 'A Wednesday', speculations do not seem to end on the topic. Latest in the series is that Shruti Haasan is being considered for the background score of the movie. Grapevine also has it that Shruti, who stretched her vocal chords for Vaaranam Aayiram recently, will render vocals for the theme music of the movie.

He is said to have roped in Chakri, an ad film-maker based in the US to direct the movie that also has Mohanlal. Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, the film which starred the favorite on screen pair of Bollywood – Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol – has completed the 700 weeks of screening. After 14 years of its release, DDLJ in the year 2007 outran Sholay to become the longest screened film. A romantic flick, DDLJ is about a boy following his ladylove all the way to Punjab from London to tie the knot. The film's music was also a chart buster and went on to win ten FilmFare awards. DDLJ was directed by Aditya Chopra. This SRK-starrer is being screened continuously at the Maratha Mandir theatre in Mumbai.
