Academy Award Winner A.R. Rahman casted his vote today morning at MGR School, Kodambakkam, near his office around 7.30 a.m… Well, it's been remarkable that Madras Mozart has been regularly involved with active participation despites busy schedules.
Fine! Rahman voted for…..? Point this question and he smiles, 'To the best candidate'. Although, he has tuned Oscar Winning song 'Jai Ho' for a particular political party, Rahman doesn't let his tongue on his vote.
But, it was really letting down for Actor Kamal Haasan as his name was not included in the voters' list…

Kamal Haasan rued that his name has been deleted from the voters list. The actor said that he had been advocating the right to vote through the media but it was frustrating to note that his name was not in the voters list. The Ulaganayagan stated that he had cancelled the shooting in Hyderabad and rushed to Chennai to cast his vote. He further revealed that he had incurred a loss of Rs.10 lakhs for canceling the film shooting.
According to the actor, when the election officials visited his house for verification he was not present at home and hence his name was deleted from the list.
Director Ameer, who had been strongly voicing concern over the Sri Lankan Tamil issue, also does not find his name in the voters list. The director added that he had been voting at the KK Nagar in Madurai till the last elections.
