Vijayakanth's 'Mariyathai' is shaping up fast in Thirumurthy Hills near Pollachi. With a host of star cast including Vijayakanth, Meera Jasmine, Ramesh Khanna, Ambika and director Vikraman around, the whole area wore a festive look.
Exactly seven years ago, Vijayakanth and Vikraman had rendered 'Vanathai Polae', which set a new trend in Tamil cinema. 'It is a movie which can be watched with the whole family. The script was fragile and the screenplay did the trick', says Vikraman.
'Vijayakanth appears in a dual role as father and son. The son is an agriculture graduate. The movie has twists and turns. This movie will entertain the whole family as our earlier did. Tunes by Vijay Anthony and cinematography by Andrew are the major highlights'.
T Siva of Amma Creations is producing the movie. He says, 'I have a long association with Captain Vijayakanth. We know each other since 1984. Though he has made it big, he is still the same'.
