Namitha is sure about making it big

Posted: 23 Mar 2009 09:19 AM PDT

An alluring missy who was more dependent upon donning gorgeous roles merely has planned for something big.
It's all about Namitha who's been making high waves across the towns with her stunning physiques and extreme glamour. The actress who is all excited about her release of 'Indiravizha' is so excited about making it big with an outstanding performance.

Recently, during an interview with the media channels, the actress said that it would be a different flick from her previous shows. Over here, she's extremely on with a negative shade of being a seductress…

Hope things work out well for Namitha and even her other film 'Jagan Mohini' a classic remake is there on the heels of hitting screens soon…

Finally, Asin is out of trouble

Posted: 23 Mar 2009 08:52 AM PDT

Once and for all, there would be no troubles drenching Asin as the problematic issue has been now sorted out.
Chennai cops finally zeroed Nalla Muthu Kumarasamy who was complained to be missing by his mother. He isn't any other than Asin's former touch-up boy. The conclusions have been drawn out that the entire drama was conducted so that Asin and her father would offer some monitory aids to Muthu's family.

Police officials from Thiruvallur District started investigating on this case registered and could pick out the loopholes from Muthu's friends Madhavan and Kesavan, who are residing in Mumbai.

Chennai City Commissioner revealed that when we checked out the mobiles of these concerned persons, we could find out Muthu's number in dialed list.

Shriya’s last ticket to Bollywood’s success!!!

The actress has been persistently acting in various Telugu, Tamil and Hindi films but isn't found herself lucky.
Certainly, she happens to be the only actress who despites pairing up with Rajnikanth didn't fetch good results in her other films. Shriya Charan's Bollywood venture has been really disastrous as all her flicks had terribly flunked at box office.
Now, this Friday weekend would be a crucial day for this missy as her 'Ek – The Power of One' would be hitting screens. The film with Bobby Deol and Nana Patekar in lead roles has Shriya as the heroine.

This film directed by Sangeeth Sivan, younger brother of Director-Filmmaker Santhosh Sivan is a remake of yesteryear Telugu blockbuster 'Athudu' starring Mahesh Babu and Trisha in lead roles.
Let's wait and watch whether her Bollywood journey would continue or stop. Keep logging to this column for more updates on this issue.

What Trisha could not, Anushka does!

Posted: 23 Mar 2009 08:38 AM PDT

Films dubbed from Telugu to Tamil have been doing well in the past, but during the last decade or so, no Telugu movie, in its dubbed version, could rake up the collections at the box office. Even Telugu films in which Trisha stars were failures; for example, Nandu and Kumaran, both dubbed Tamil versions.
The glory of the past has now returned with Arundhathee. The film, which has Anushka in the title role, has been released in all the big screens across
Tamil Nadu and the industry sources say that it is garnering the collections like the good old days. Arundhathee, incidentally, is a supernatural thriller set in the rural background.

Bharath’s mania for MGR

Posted: 23 Mar 2009 08:28 AM PDT

Bharath was keen on fetching the title of MGR's yesteryear film titled 'Engal Veettu Pillai'. Perhaps, he was disappointed when he couldn't get his ducky one and finally eyed for the title of Rajnikanth's yesteryear film titled 'Thambikku Endha Ooru'. Again he was drenched with desolated moods, once he got to know that Superstar's son-in-law Dhanush who's been spoiling his father-in-law's credits by titling his films had got that rights too… Finally, Bharath had smartly modified the title as 'Thambikku Indha Ooru'. The film was supposed to be produced by Vijaya Vauhini Studios and now VK Media has taken it on the row.
Though Bharath couldn't inherit the title of MGR, he was sure about expressing his token of gratitude to legendary superstar. Fine! There would be a song where he will be appearing in the makeovers of MGR and Sana Khan as Saroja Devi. Apart from this, a 80-ft cut out of MGR was erected on the shores of Kovalam and a song was shot there with more junior artists.

Lekha Rathnakumar’s debut directorial in USA

Posted: 23 Mar 2009 08:20 AM PDT

Striding through remarkable endeavor with his ad filmmaking and 'Lekha Sonaton' venture, it's time for Lekha Rathnakumar to gear up for his directorial venture. The filmmaker is all set with a poignant romantic tale that would be filmed around 75% in United States while rest in a greenish pasture of Tamil Nadu Village. Sounds really interesting, isn't? of course why not… it's more catching for our attention to hear that only 8-membered unit would flee for filming the portions in United States including star-casts. The USA portion production will be done by a reputed concern.
Maybe, there seemed to have a lot of Tamil films released based on this theme of Villages-to-Statue of Liberty. But, Lekha Rathnakumar is sure about gearing up for a different plotline. Ask him about the leading actors? He adds, "surely, we'll let you know but not now….' The entire film would be shot extensively with Red One Camera or Viper and Rathnakumar himself will take care of musical score with his library collections…. Also it's been taken to note that the filming would be completed within short period of schedules. So Stay tuned !!!

Actor Kishore lands himself in trouble

Posted: 23 Mar 2009 08:02 AM PDT

He has come to be remembered as one of the more versatile actors in the Tamil film industry recently, but actor Kishore has found himself in a soup in the Kannada film industry. The actor, whose Kannada production venture 'Kabadi' was launched a couple of years ago, has caused him this.
Kishore, who recently featured in 'Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu' as a Kabadi coach, had also produced a Kannada film, titled 'Kabadi', in which he played the Kabadi coach.
Kabadi's director, Narendra Babu, has been fuming ever since he saw 'Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu', accusing Kishore of incorporating a few scenes of Kabadi in 'Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu'. "Both these films were based on the same sport and Kishore plays the coach in both of them. A few scenes in Vennila were directly taken from my Kannada film," says Narendra, accusing Kishore for telling the story to Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu's crew.
Actor Kishore, on his part, has denied the accusation. "I'm producing the Kannada film 'Kabadi'. Why would I then use its story for another film?" he asks.

Arya, a Telugu villain now

Posted: 23 Mar 2009 08:05 AM PDT

Actor Arya is definitely going places after the release of his 'Naan Kadavul'. The actor's recent release directed by Bala, which was dubbed and released in Telugu as Neni Devudni, has won him both rave reviews and more movie offers.
And Arya has just signed up for a Telugu flick. The film, which features Allu Arjun, as the hero, will cast Arya in a different role as a villain.
Such roles with negative shades are not new to the actor, who has done characters like that in 'Pattiyal' and 'Arindhum Ariyamalum'. He, however, will be launched as a full fledged villain, in this Telugu film, to be directed by Gunasekar.
'Pre Production work for this yet-to-be-named film has been on for eight months. The villain's character, which Arya has agreed to play, is clearly on par with that of the hero himself,' vows director Gunasekar.

A highlight of the film will be a song -'Panivizhum Kaalama'. An extraordinary display of colours has created the bubbliness the song radiates. The song, shot in Kodaikanal, was choreographed by Brinda and filmed by Rohan.
Jassie Gift has composed this peppy tune, the lyrics for which have been penned by Na Muthukumar.
'Pattalam' is director N Lingusamy's brother Subash Chandra Bose's production venture, under the banner of Thirrupathy Brothers. It is ready for release this month end.
